Retinopatia Diabetica

Retinopatia Diabetica

In the early stages of diabetic retinopathy there maybe little or no effect to your vision. If the condition is not detected or treated early enough it can cause visual impairment. These include blurriness at near or distance, floaters, or a sudden loss to vision. Damaged caused to the retina from diabetic retinopathy is not reversible. If caught early, your Ophthalmologist can reduce the risk of diabetic retinopathy becoming more severe with a variety of treatment options. If you are diabetic, make sure to have regular eye examinations. If you find you are having any issues or symptoms that seem to be getting worse, contact your eye care practitioner immediately even if you were examined recently.
